Podcasts

I listen to podcasts every day on my drive to work.  I regularly listen to these and highly recommend you give them a try.

This Is Your Life with Michael Hyatt. You can also listen to Michael Hyatt in iTunes.  A weekly podcast dedicated to intentional leadership.  Michael Hyatt is a former CEO of a book publishing company who quit his CEO gig to start his own company based on intentional leadership.  This was the first podcast I ever listened to.  And once I started in 2014, I listened every day for months until I listened to everyone.

HBR Ideacast by Harvard Business Review.  You can also listen to HBR in iTunes.  A weekly podcast featuring the leading thinkers in business and management. If you enjoy reading HBR articles, you’ll love the podcast.

EntreLeadership podcast. You can also listen to EntreLeadership in iTunes.  This podcast from Dave Ramsey’s company features discussion and tips on leadership and business by top minds.

The Family First podcast with Mark Merrill. You can also listen to Family First in iTunes.  This podcast, hosted by author and former NFL player Mark Merrill, is dedicated to providing marriage and parenting advice.  I recommend this as leadership doesn’t just apply to work.  Remember that you family will still be around to support you long after your career.

Blogs

In addition to the above podcasts, I enjoy reading the following blogs.

Michael Hyatt is a former CEO of a book publishing company who quit his CEO gig to start his own company based on intentional leadership.  Michael has a great technique of breaking down his articles into poignant insights and simple actionable steps.

The Military Leader is a great blog geared towards those in the military.  Drew has great insights into leadership challenges and has a wide array of guest authors for a broader perspective.

From the Green Notebook is another military blog that focuses on leadership, military history, and the study of war.
